|11:13 am - It was one year ago today...|
..that my Cochlear Implant (CI) got turned on. It certainly has been quite the exciting ride.
Some things that I attribute directly to this:
- I'm employed again. [and the various rewards that go along with that, like my home.]
- I can talk on the phone. In fact, I have and use a cellphone most of the time.
- I date again.
- I am more connected to whats going on around me.
- I'm far more confidant than I was
- I actually enjoy music again.
I'm not going to say I'm "cured" or anything like that. I still have my problems, and my hearing is certainly not as good as other people's, but there's a huge difference between my life a year ago, and my life today.
Wow, that IS huge. Congrats!

Greetings from Singapore...
First & foremost, I shall introduce myself. I am Riza. Secondly, I would like to apologize if I might be intruding with this email. I came across your id in one of the communities, if I am not mistaken its the "Outdoors" LJ community. I hope you dont mind... me saying my first hello.
I am writing to you, with an invitation so as if I could be your online friend. Coz, I am looking forward to extend this friendship & hence widen the circle of friends with those who share similar interest as me. May I add you in my friend's list?
Well, perhaps I could hear a favorable reply from you. Thanks for taking your time to read, & if you want you may want to add me in your friend list.
Thanks. Have a great weekend & a good week ahead...Please do take good care of yourself.
