12:27 pm - Technology done right - by a BANK no less
I'm surprised nobody has noticed this before me. Maybe they did, and they just didn't think to mention it, but one of the new features of my citibank creditcard is Virtual Account Numbers.

Basically, when you want to order from that semi-shady looking site on the net, you can generate a fresh one time virtual account number, thereby making sure you don't actually have to hand out your real account number when in doubt.

Pretty cool idea, innit?

Good idea, but what's their "Service Fee" for this?
One thing I really hate about banks is how they seem to be adding absurd fees for everything anymore. And nothing bothers me more than bank fees. Wells Fargo tried to charge me a $5 fee because they said I changed my address twice in one year. I hadn't moved in over a year at the time, and when the rep looked, she couldn't find any record of any address changes, so she agreed to drop the fee. Bandits.

Wells Fargo is Satan and should die repeatedly painful deaths.
