|04:52 pm - Taxes - Prepare to hate me.|
I did my taxes. I'm getting a nice bundle back.
Also, since I get social security for being "disabled" - despite full time well paid office job, I was worried I'd get taxed on that.
Nope! SSA Disability is untaxed!
You may now commence the dirty looks and pissed off expressions.
Keep in mind I've probably still put more into social security than I'll ever get back.

I should have you take care of my taxes!!
Hell, I'm confused. I thought if you made a certain amount of money ($5000/yr, $250/mth, Illinois), SSI would either garnish your monthlies or cancel them outright. How can you have a nice job and still manage to pull down SSI?

They have this 'get back to work' type program
If you go back to work, in 3 months, they decide whether you're fully back to work (you continue at full disability rate).
Then if they consider it 'full time work', they give you another 9 months, and if you're still employed, then they cut you off.
So basically, I get a free ride for a year!
