02:28 pm - Book Update
Revenge - Stephen Fry - An update (homage to) of The Count of Monte Cristo that falls short of the original. The second half of the book is rushed. Part of the allure of the Count is his detailed planning, the intricate revenge. I won't ruin it for you by pointing out specific faults, but I am a big fan of Dumas, and this kind of let me down.

Bloodsucking Fiends - Christopher Moore +
Coyote Blue - Christopher Moore - Both of these were hilarious. I turned onto him after picking up Lamb, which I loved. I burned right through both of them in a day. I'm gonna go get the rest of his stuff.

Don't let Revenge put you off Stephen Fry if you haven't read his other books...

I haven't read any of his others. What do you think would be the best one to try?

Making History was good. I also really liked The Liar, and The Hippopotamus is good and pissy.

Moab Is My Washpot is a viciously self-abusive autobiography...
